Some Canvas is just made with better materials than others.
It drives perfectly with the exception of some wind noise that is common with soft tops.
This is what we have to start from:
2006 Jeep LJ unlimited with low mileage.
Jeep Green Metallic Clearcoat/Dark Khaki Soft Top
4.0L Inline six - Best engine in the world
AW4 automatic
Dana 30 front axle
Dana 44 rear axle
4 wheel disc brakes
New Process 231J transfer case
Mopar sunrider soft top
Nothing after market under the hood.
No suspension upgrades
32x11.50x15 BFG Mud Terrains - Old style before the new KM2 tread pattern with 80% good tread - some minor cupping in the front, probably needs alignment.
15x8 with 3.75 BS steel wheels
Warn Rear bumper with swing out tire carrier
Warn basic front bumper without the hoop or winch mount
Stock mopar fog lights - not bright
Dee Zee side steps for TJ not LJ
headlight, side marker, and front marker light protectors
Tail light protectors
Pioneer radio
Amp and single base speaker
Stock seats
Tinted front windshield - about 35% from top
There is no rust anywhere except the black metal door seals which I will replace.
There are no dents worth mentioning - there are two very small imperfections on the hood where the previous owner probably rested the hood against the windshield frame.
Looking under the body I can find no indications that this jeep has ever been off-road.
I did drive it in the neighborhood yesterday and checked the transfer case engages very smoothly at slow and high speed.
I am already in love with this vehicle - very exciting build.
I picked up the Jeep from Cummins in Weatherford, Oklahoma. It has 14,280 miles on it.
The jeep is perfect except each wheel has a security lug nut with no security socket to remove the nut. Good thing its not a gorilla with multiple combinations available. It seems to match the set that Quadratec sells.
